Disney Second Screen Setup and Syncing

How do I set up my Blu-ray player to use Disney Second Screen?

Before you can use the Disney Second Screen app with your Blu-ray, you'll need to take the following simple steps:

1. Download and launch Disney Second Screen on your iOS-compatible device.
2. Insert your Disney Blu-ray movie in your Blu-ray player. Select PLAY from the Blu-ray Main Menu, then choose WITH DISNEY SECOND SCREEN from the options list that appears (or, select BONUS FEATURES and choose PLAY MOVIE WITH DISNEY SECOND SCREEN).
3. Select MANUAL SYNC and follow the onscreen instructions.

How do I access the re-sync menu from my Blu-ray player?

Activate the Pop-up Menu on your Blu-ray remote and choose RE-SYNC.

How do I manually sync or re-sync my Second Screen device?

How do I use Manual Sync?
Manual Sync allows you to sync the app on your own.

To Manually Sync from the beginning of the movie:

1. From the Disney Second Screen Main Menu on your iOS-compatible device, select SYNC WITH [TITLE] BLU-RAY, then choose MANUAL SYNC on the following screen.
2. From the Blu-ray Main Menu page, select MANUAL SYNC and follow the onscreen instructions.

To Manually Re-sync during the movie:

1. Activate the Pop-up Menu on your Blu-ray remote and choose RE-SYNC to display the sync number.
2. Choose RE-SYNC from the Options Menu on your iPad or computer, then MANUAL SYNC from the next screen that appears. When prompted, enter the sync number displayed on your TV.
3. When you're ready to resume play, use the Blu-ray remote to select START COUNTDOWN. When the counter reaches GO on your TV, press GO on your second screen.

The sync indicators on your Blu-ray player and iOS-compatible device don't have to match exactly for your Disney Second Screen experience to work.

How do I use the Sync Indicator?
The sync indicator is a numerical counter that keeps track of where you are in the experience. Your Disney Second Screen app is in sync with your movie when the sync indicators on both screens match. Sync is lost when you forward, rewind, pause or select a different scene on your Blu-ray.

If the sync indicators on the two screens don't match:

1. Activate the Pop-up Menu on your Blu-ray remote and choose RE-SYNC.
2. You'll need to re-sync on the iOS-compatible device as well. From OPTIONS, choose RE-SYNC, then select MANUAL SYNC from the next screen that appears and follow the instructions.
3. Make sure you choose the same sync option for both your Blu-ray player and second screen device.

If the numbers in the sync indicators are off by one or two, it's okay; the experience will still work.

The sync indicators match but the content on my two screens doesn't. How do I get the content to match?

The Timeline keeps track of your synced position as you check out videos, galleries and other content. When you're done exploring, press the SYNC APP TO MOVIE button on your iPad or computer to bring you back in line with the movie.

How do I access the re-sync menu from my Blu-ray player?

Activate the Pop-up Menu on your Blu-ray remote and choose RE-SYNC.
